Unlimited: Kinship Information

This serves as the general information post for the kinship Unlimited in Lord of the Rings Online. (Updated 7/22/2008)

Basic Info

Gladden server

No minimum level requirements

No race/class/profession requirements

No raiding or PvMP requirements

Must be through starting area, excluding alternate characters (Alts)

Forum discussion not required, but encouraged

Basic Rules
New members remain at Recruit status for a minimum of 1 week. During this time, it is the recruit's responsibility to register at this site and try to interact with other kinsmen/women through questing, crafting or discussion. Recruits may not bring Alts into the kinship. Promotion from recruit status to member status will be decided by the kinship leaders on a bi-monthly meeting.
Members who are inactive longer than 30 days will be demoted to Recruit and a 7-day warning will be issued through in-game mail, as well as on this site. If no response is given, all of your characters will be removed from the kinship. All inactive characters will be removed from the kin on the 2nd officer meeting following the Mines of Moira expansion.
The above rule does not apply to Alts or retired members (i.e. those who have announced intentions to return from extended absences.)
Officer status can only be achieved for your Main character.
Additional Suggestions
We encourage kinsfolk interaction! So if you need help with a quest, craft, or simply have questions, don't be afraid to ask in Kinship chat.
We welcome event suggestions from all members, even recruits! If you need help getting something started or organized, let us know on these boards.
If you are going to be out of game for an extended period of time, please post in these forums with your planned return date, so we may exempt you from the removal policy.
If you want to switch your Main with an Alt, please let us know so we can make the appropriate changes.
It's fun to experiment with Alts! But it's hard for others to keep track of who you are, so please update your Note on the in-game Kinship tab to reflect the name of your Main.
Life gets in the way! If something comes up and you have to leave quickly, please do your kinsfolk the courtesy of explaining what happened at your earliest opportunity.
Follow the basic rules of good conduct and sportsmanship. No abusive or spiteful gameplay please, and if you engage in such behavior, don't be surprised when disciplinary measures are meted out.
Cursing and occasional lewd humor is acceptable, but if you feel like going on an obscenity tirade, please do so out of the chat box and with your microphone muted.
A certain level of "drama" is to be expected in any guild environment. Please do everyone the common courtesy of keeping this private. If a situation begins to escalate beyond your ability to contain it, don't yell it out in Kinship channels or post angry rants on the forums; contact an Officer - or myself - in private.
When in a fellowship with other kin members please only "roll" on looted items that can be used by the charachter that you are playing.
Please do not loot items or gather resources while the fellowship is engaged in combat.
When gathering resources within the fellowship, like-minded crafters should share the nodes that the group encounters.
If you are not involved in the fight, don't roll on the loot!
