I started this thread so that we can drop to one spot to see what's up with the servers.

Ok, here is the info so far.

All of the servers we choose for Order are not on the first wave. Thorgrim, Ironfist, and Monolith are MIA. Of course, Mad Dog Pass is probably DOA. Hopefully one of these servers come up today or we may have to regrabinate a home.

Red Eye Mountain is up and has a nice high pop. Anything over 50 per side is considered "Full". I believe this is for the autoserver feature that comes up when you first log. I created a Elf Witch person thing there named Cage.

Skull Throne and Volkmar have the highest pops with nearly a 1000 people on each server. This is all in the first 15 mins, lol.

There is a queue if the server has over 50 in the side you choose. I don't understand how this works as some servers have 400 or 500 per side. Unless 50 people are playing and 450 are in line...but that doesn't really make sense.

So I see some new servers have been added also that were not on Mythic's original CE Preorder sever list...

Iron Rock - I like the name...it has low pop on both sides...must have just opened up...I'm thinking of at least rolling an Order toon there for the CE preorder headstart and then see what our SE preorders want to do...

I'll also try to wait the queue out on Red Eye Mountain to get the Destruction toon rolled...

The queue is pissing me off. I created a toon on Red Eye, dropped back out to look at the servers to see what was up, then went back in to play. I was 36th in line. It took 10 minutes to get in. I got the play button and my mouse pointer vanished. I couldn't enter. So...I had to restart the client and ended up 136th in line. Now I have a 36 minute wait.

You are stuck once in queue. You can't look at servers, create a character, take a piss, talk to your family, watch tv, or do anything else interesting.

Those queues don't sound too user friendly...
I did read they will bumping up the max pop size on the servers throughout the day and then again tomorrow...

I rolled Zorr, Dwarf Engineer, on Iron Rock server...also in process of creating a Bright Wizard on the same server...

welp, power has been out here for a couple of hours. I am posting this from my +6 iPhone of sheer fookin awesomeness. Looks like power is gonna be out for a while tho as ike rips through Ohio. No cool CE start for me.

We lost power a little before 2 PM Eastern yesterday and still don't have power 24 hours later. Standard Pre-order earlybirds get to play starting tomorrow, but I don't have high hopes that I will be among them now. As of this morning, over half a million people in the Greater Cincinnati area were still without power - we had 143,000 out in our county. As of 1:45 this afternoon, that number is still 105,000 plus. Estimates right now are up to a week before everyone has power restored. Judging by the restoration efforts in our area, we'll be lucky indeed if we have power before Wednesday night.

I will try for Ironrock server, but it will likely be full by the time I get a chance to log on tomorrow, if I get a chance. I'm guessing a similar situation will develop for Red Eye Mountain if that's the case. If we have any hope of playing together, perhaps we should wait a day or two before getting invested into our toons?

Sorry to hear you and Cage are without power...hopefully you all get restored soonest...it's hard to believe Ike had such a profound impact even that far inland...I watched the Steelers-Browns game and the wind was swirling over 35mph or something like that...made for a very close game, but of course the backyard brawl usually is a close one anyways...

They did raise the loading on the servers yesterday which brought the queues down a bit...if you all are not able to get on Iron Rock, then we can always roll new toons from one of original picks (Ironfist or Thorgrim) or wait for the official release day servers...

Best we can do is play it by ear...

I have been playing the Destruction guys 'cause I figure we are all going to try and group up with the Order dudes. So..add my dudes/dudettes to your friend lists.

We got our power restored yesterday afternoon, and while they'll never read this, I must credit our awesome county workers and management for focusing on residential areas after the emergency services were restored. So most people's homes have power again, and they'll be working on the businesses today.

I wasn't able to patch last night - they are being very strict with access, so you couldn't even patch ahead of the Head Start - but I managed to get to it this morning. I also was able to create all my characters via Cage's net connection at work. All characters are level 1 at the moment.

Order: I created on the Thorgrim server, since it is up now and Iron Rock was already at high capacity.

I am currently working on the new PC - I think this one will end up going to Sue as I just ordered some more kit for mine.
